2026 Inaugural Concerto Winners

Stephanie Povkovic

Stephanie Pavkovic is a graduating senior at Westford Academy who plans to pursue a bachelor of music in violin performance in the fall of 2026. She started learning violin in third grade where she participated in the school strings program. She then took up private lessons in fourth grade, studying with Jody Harmon for four years. In eighth grade she moved to the guidance of Joshua Peckins and continues to study with him today.

 

Stephanie’s passion, dedication, and devotion on her violin journey has led her to numerous events and institutions. She has played in many orchestras including the Indian Hill Camerata Strings Orchestra, the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras (BYSO), the NEC Youth Symphony Orchestra, and the Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (BPYO). She is currently in her fourth year with the BPYO. As a member of the BPYO she has participated in concert tours in South Africa, Europe, Mexico, and upcoming China & Japan. She has also played in many chamber ensembles in organizations including NEC, Groton Hill Music Center, BYSO, Westford Chamber Players, and Greenwood Senior Music Camp. In addition, she has performed in community concerts and participated in several MMEA District and All State festivals.

 

Outside of music, Stephanie enjoys rock climbing, swimming, viewing nature, studying biology, decorating, and chatting with friends.

Shannon Williams

Shannon is a clarinetist and educator living in Haverhill, Massachusetts. With a masters degree in Contemporary Classical Music Performance from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, she can be seen regularly gigging in the Boston theatre and new music scenes, and has performed with the Gateway City Orchestra since their first season in 2021. In addition to performing, Shannon also works at Berklee College of Music as an administrator, and teaches clarinet and saxophone lessons to students of all ages and experience. Outside of music, Shannon loves hugging her nephew, showing off her first and only marathon medal, coming in second to last place at trivia, talking about how much she loves jury duty, watching low-budget 80's horror movies, and embroidering on the commuter rail.
